Sophia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. She began her academic journey in 2009 at the University of South Florida, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Behavioral Health Care. She went on to obtain her Master of Social Work from USF, graduating cum laude. During her time at the university, Sophia was inducted into the Delta Sigma Chapter of Phi Alpha, the National Honor Society for Social Work Students. Building on her educational foundation, Sophia has held progressive leadership roles in the mental health field. She has managed multiple departments across several inpatient psychiatric hospitals and later served as Director of Clinical Services, overseeing clinical programs and multidisciplinary care teams. Additionally, Sophia is a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Social Work Interns in Florida, mentoring emerging professionals in the field.
Sophia's therapy approach is integrative and tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), addressing concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and phobias. She also specializes in helping individuals navigate the challenges of ADHD, offering guidance on managing inattention and lack of focus. Sophia's strengths-based approach empowers clients to rediscover their abilities and build resilience during difficult times. She is deeply committed to fostering personal growth and creating a supportive environment where individuals can thrive. Sophia believes in a holistic and collaborative approach to care, working closely alongside psychiatrists, APRNs, nurses, and therapists to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Her focus is on fostering resilience, growth, and meaningful change for the individuals she serves.
